The sleeve notes exclaim that this novel is "filled with passion, politics and tantalising possibilities" and for fans of Macbeth that's exactly what's served up. The author's approach to the portrayal of Macbeth is interesting with all of the well known and appropriate historical characters present, along with a few new ones.
