Many of the incidents in the life of the real King Macbeth took place in Moray and this map will help you find your way around.

We have created a short audio story about one day in August 1040: the day on which Macbeth, Mormaer of Moray, realised his ambition and became King of Alba. Our story takes place at three different places - Sueno's Stone in Forres, Spynie Palace near Pitgaveney and Elgin Museum. Of course you can join the story at any of the three places but the story actually begins at Sueno's Stone.

In the future we will add more places and more stories so that you can follow in Macbeth's footsteps as he tells you about his life and times.

But for now, join Macbeth at Sueno's Stone and hear him tell you about one momentous day for him, and for Alba.
